Johnny Depp Suing Former Business Mangers for $25 Million

A month ago, a judge decided put an end to the divorce battle between Johnny and his ex-wife Amber Heard when Johnny demanded that Amber give him $100,000 for his legal fees. That seemed really odd because Johnny is a multi-millionaire. However, with this most recent revelation it makes sense as to why Johnny is pretty much trying to get as much as he can out of his ex-wife, even though he actually owes her money. He is currently suing his ex-busines managers for $25 million and blames them for the mismanagement of his money.

Soon after Johnny became single, he filed a $25 million lawsuit against The Mandel Co., The Management Group, Joel L. Mandel, Robert Mandel, First American Title Insurance Co., and 15 other unnamed defendants. Johnny accuses his former business managers of “gross misconduct” that resulted in him losing “tens of millions of dollars” and he is asking for $25 million in damages. The lawsuit accuses the ex- business managers of taking $28 million in contingency fees, failing to file or pay Johnny’s federal taxes on time, and  “loaning” almost $10 million to third parties without Johnny’s consent.  Johnny claims that his financial situation is so dire due to this mismanagement that he has to sell off some of his assets.

His ex-managers have come out with their side of the story and it places the blame strictly on Johnny’s reckless spending that he alone is responsible for his current disaster of a financial situation. An attorney for the Mandel’s said that the management company worked hard for Johnny for 17 years and they believe that Johnny is using this lawsuit as a way to buy himself some time to delay the sale of his assets. The reason why Johnny is trying to get money out of them is because he allegedly borrowed $5 million from his business managers in 2012. They gave him until 2014 to repay it but by 2016, only about $800,000 had been repaid. The last October they started foreclosure proceedings on some of Johnny’s properties to get the remaining $4.2 million he owes them. They believe this is just a game Johnny is playing to try and get out of paying back the rest of the money he owes.  The reason why they believe this is because the lawsuit was filed the night before some of the properties were supposed to foreclose.

Johnny is one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood. Disney keeps throwing millions of dollars at him for the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, so it is a little confusing at to why, even with owing his ex-wife money and the money that he owes his ex-business partners, that he would be so broke? It just seems so odd to us that one of Hollywood’s most overpaid actor seems to be in such dire straights. We will be following this closely to see how it turns out for Johnny.

Parents of Girl Who Stabbed Friend for Fictional Slender Man Character Speak out

Slenderman stabbing Anissa Weier and Morgan GeyserThis case has riveted the nation since it happened in 2014. The thought that two young girls could stab a friend to almost death to find favor with a fictional internet character was shocking. After almost three years the parents of one of the girls, Anissa Weier, are finally speaking out about the tragic incident that happened between three girls that used to be very close friends. Her parents, Kristi and Bill Weier, appeared on Good Morning America on Monday to talk about their daughter and her motivation.

Anissa Weier and Morgan Geyser are both facing up to 65 years in jail for the attempted murder of their friend Payton Leutner in 2014. The girls were 12 at the time of the stabbing. They invited Payton over for a sleepover and then took her out to the woods in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on May 31, 2014, apparently to appease an internet fictional character named Slender Man. The character first appeared online in 2009 as part of an online art contest. The image became a popular internet meme and inspired a lot of online stories that starting popping up online that fueled intrigue and curiosity in the character.

Anissa’s parents revealed during their interview that their daughter wholeheartedly believed in the character and wanted to prove that the character was real when she attacked Payton. ‘They thoroughly believed that Slenderman was real and they wanted to prove that he was real,”Kristi Weier, Anissa’s mother, said. They did say that there daughter is completely remorseful about the stabbing. Both parents also said that they had no idea that their daughter had such an obsession with Slenderman. They also revealed that they have yet to speak to Payton and her family. Mr. Weier said, “If they were here face to face I would tell them I’m sorry, I would tell them I’m thankful Payton survived and I would tell them that for as much as they are struggling with trying to process this and what happened to their daughter, we are struggling equally trying to process this with not only what happened to their daughter but to our daughter.”

They also spoke about their visits to their daughter in jail. They said that their daughter tries to vent to them during their visits but have to limit what they talk about because all visits are recorded. They never talk about the criminal case in fear that something that is said could be used against their daughter at the trial. Her father said, “Sometimes she tries to vent a little bit during our visits and most of the conversation is stuff that has already been revealed in court so we feel comfortable enough trying to console her and help her with how she feels that day.”

Her parents are still trying to process their daughter’s actions. The word that Mr. Weier used a lot during the interview was “surreal”. He said that “It was really kind of surreal from the time I got the phone call to the time that we realized there were more things going on than what we were initially led to believe..” He went on further to say, “It’s, surreal is the best way to describe it, because you struggle with processing what you’re finding out about what your child is being suspected of.”

Anissa has been behind bars since May, 2014. Morgan was moved to a mental health facility in March last year. Now 15, Anissa is awaiting trial in an adult jail. She pleaded not guilty to attempted murder last year on the grounds of mental illness. Both are being tried as adults in court but their parents are fighting to see them tried as juveniles.

 

 

Kardashian Paris Robbery Update, Suspects Confess to the Robbery

Kim Kardashian RobberyThere has been an update about the diamond heist. The French Police have finally made a break in the case and have secured confessions from a few of the robbery suspects this week. Even though many of the suspects were released, the police feel very confident in the confessions and the case they are building against the remaining suspects.

It was reported that three out of the sixteen suspects were released this week but that theys till had fourteen people still in custody. Still in custody are Gary M., 27, a former driver for Kardashian. His brother, Michael, the man who drove her during her stay in Paris, was released last night. It is not known if Gary is among the suspects who confessed.

There has been a rumor floating around that the Robbery was an inside job. The robbers knew the exact perfect time to strike when Kim would be by herself and at her hotel room. So is comes as no surprise that her driver was one of the people who were arrested in connection with the robbery.

Concurrently, the French Police are working with law enforcement in Belgium which is where they believe that the stolen jewels ended up after the heist. Two of the suspects, “Aomar A-K” and “Marceau B” were thought to have fled to Antwerp, in following  the heist. Belgium has a “Black Market” for diamonds and several men that were arrested have ties to this illegal market. Law enforcement sources in Belgium told TMZ that their federal police force is investigating, sources say that getting the jewels back will be next to impossible. Three months have passed since they were stolen and chances are they have already been sold off.

We hope that the breaks that have come in the case lately will help put Kim’s mind at ease. During and interview, Khloe said that Kim is still suffering from PTSD from the event.

Hyatt co-founded Globality with Lior Delgo, a technologist whose sold two previous startups to Microsoft and Yahoo. Delgo is officially Globality’s president. Globality has a board that is comprised of some of the best minds in the industry like Oracle co-CEO Mark Hurd, former IBM CFO John Joyce, and Andersen Tax CEO Mark Vorsatz. Globality also has raised more than $37 million from a group of investors that include former Vice President Gore, one-time Apple retail executive Ron Johnson, and Yahoo CFO Ken Goldman. Globality is backed by some of the best minds in the industry and is sure to be a success.

French Police have Suspects in Custody in Kardashian Robbery

00-holding-kim-kardashian-robbery French Police have revealed that they believe that they have captured all the suspects in the Kim Kardashian robbery from last October. The arrests of 17 alleged veteran armed robbers behind the multi-million dollar heist in Paris included 3 women and the rest were men. Kim’s attorney says that this latest update hopefully will help his client fund closure and end the trauma that she has been suffering since the robbery occurred.

The coordinated raids over the weekend rounded up the gang, including a ‘major thug’ in his 70s, two diamond dealers and lots of long rap sheets amongst the rest of the suspects. The French Police believe that they have captured the entire gang involved in the heist. They suspects were arrested in both Paris and the south of France. One of the suspects nicknamed ‘Mr Bigs’ has been partially identified as Pierre B., a ‘career villain’ living in Grasse, in the south of France. ‘Mr. Big’ is a 72-year-old who has made millions through counterfeit money in the past. The suspects can be held for up to 96 hours before being charged or released.

It has been found out that the French police were able to track the suspects down due to a DNA  that was found on a piece of tape used to gag Kim Kardashian during the robbery. After three months of checking the DNA sample against samples of numerous suspects, it was finally connected to a well-known criminal who had been involved in numerous armed robberies. He has not been named yet.

Kim’s attorney, Jean Veil, made this statement regarding the arrests, “I welcome this with great satisfaction.” He went on to say that, “These arrests are a nice surprise because on the one hand, it will perhaps make it possible to find the jewelry. On the other hand, it puts an end to the outrageous speculation by some, who thought it was intelligent to pretend that this robbery was staged, or a publicity stunt organized by Ms. Kardashian.”

We were torn on whether this was a publicity stunt at first but now we feel like it wasn’t. We hope that she can now start recovering from this traumatic incident.
