in Celebrities by

The 95th Academy Awards, held on March 12, 2023, was a night filled with glitz, glamour, and celebration. However, as is the case every year, the Oscar nominations and eventual winners came with their share of controversies and snubs. With several deserving films and performances overlooked, the debate over who should have been nominated or won continues. Here, we examine what we believe to be the most significant snubs from the 2023 Oscars and make our case as to why our picks should have won instead.

“Top Gun: Maverick” showcased the very best of what modern cinema has to offer, from groundbreaking visual effects and breathtaking aerial sequences to the heart-pounding soundtrack and emotional depth of its characters. The film skillfully built on the legacy of its predecessor while offering a fresh and engaging story that resonated with both long-time fans and newcomers to the franchise. This perfect blend of nostalgia and innovation created a captivating and immersive experience that could only truly be appreciated on the big screen.

The film’s undeniable impact on the revitalization of the theatrical experience should not be understated. In an era where streaming services and home entertainment options have increasingly dominated the landscape, “Top Gun: Maverick” played a pivotal role in rekindling the magic and allure of the cinema. The success of this film paved the way for other movies to follow suit, encouraging audiences to return to theaters and providing a much-needed boost to the industry.

Considering its immense impact on revitalizing the significance of the theatrical experience, alongside its exceptional storytelling, visual prowess, and compelling performances, “Top Gun: Maverick” should have won the Best Picture Oscar. The film not only captivated and motivated millions but also acted as a pertinent reminder of the genuine power of cinema. If it weren’t for “Top Gun: Maverick,” the other films honored during this year’s Oscar ceremony might have been confined to the small screen, viewed from the coziness of a home recliner instead of the immersive and collective atmosphere of a theater.

Paris Hilton Reveals More Horrific Details About the Emotional and Physical Abuse she Endured At Utah Boarding School

in Celebrities/People by

Paris Hilton has revealed more horrible details about the time she was a resident of the Provo Canyon School. The treatment center was billed as a program to help “troubled teens” and has faced allegations of extreme emotional and physical abuse for decades. Hilton has been very outspoken about the abuse she faced during her time at the treatment center.

Hilton was interviewed by the New York Times for an article titled, “Can you Punish a Child’s Mental Health Problems Away?” and she spoke in depth about the sexual abuse she endured. A trigger warning now for the details ahead, Hilton said, “Very late at night, this would be around like three or four in the morning, they would take myself and other girls into this room and they would perform medical exams.”

She said doctors were not the individuals performing the exams. She said male staff members would take her to a private room where she was forced to endure sexual abuse at the hands of those staff members. Hilton wrote on her Twitter account, “Sleep-deprived & heavily medicated, I didn’t understand what was happening. I was forced to lie on a padded table, spread my legs & submit to cervical exams. I cried while they held me down & said, ‘No!’ They just said, ‘Shut up. Be quiet. Stop struggling or you’ll go to Obs.’”

These revelations are the latest in a long line of allegations against the Utah boarding school. Provo Canyon School opened as a facility for boys in 1971 and quickly ran into legal trouble within a few years. In 1980, two teens filed a lawsuit against the school’s original owners. The jurors returned a verdict in favor of the school, but the legal issues did not end there.

The school was purchased by Charter Behavior Health Services, who later filed bankruptcy after facing allegations of Medicaid fraud and reports of inadequate care and treatment. It was then purchased by Universal Health Services, who still owns it to this day. In 2021, its reported revenue was $3.32 billion.

Over the last few decades, the allegations of abuse have included physically restraining the students, strip searches, physical punishments, improperly medicating the students, sexual abuse and isolation. Multiple past students have come forward with allegations against the school. Hilton also came forward last year with her own allegations of abuse. She testified on Capitol Hill about her experiences at these treatment centers.

Hilton has become a very outspoken activist for reforms for schools that masquerade as treatment centers for children. Her parents sent her to the school when she was 17 years old after she got in trouble for sneaking out to go to clubs and parties. She had been to these types of schools before, but she called Provo Canyon School as “the worst of the worst.”

Since she has come out against the school, multiple other people have come forward with their own allegations of abuse that stems back decades. Hilton has empowered people to come forward with their own stories and are actively working on shutting the school down. Hilton created a petition on Change.org asking for help to get the school shut down. It currently has 207,090 signatures.

The Latest in the Celtic’s Drama, Ime Udoka’s Affair Partner Revealed

in Celebrities by

As the embattled coach of the Celtics continues to get skewed in the media, the identity of the individual who he was involved with remained a mystery, until today. The Daily Mail was the first to disclose the identity of the employee. The publication discovered the employee is the team service manager, Kathleen Nimmo Lynch, a married mother of three.

Lynch, described as a “devout Mormon,” has close ties to the Celtics executive director of basketball operations, Danny Ainge. Ainge helped Lynch to get the job because Lynch has been friends with Ainge and his family over about ten years. They came from the same hometown and Lynch attended BYU with Ainge’s daughter. Lynch was hired two years after graduating from BYU and worked under Ainge.

Ainge, also a devout Mormon was reportedly very upset by the affair. A source told the Daily Mail that Ainge learned about the affair earlier this summer and recused himself from the situation and hired an outside law firm to conduct the investigation.

The Celtics did not disclose this information during the investigation, but the name was leaked online. Her duties for the team included the following: she arranged travel, lodging and game tickets for the family members of the team players at home and on the road. Lynch most likely had even helped Udoka’s wife, Nia Long with travel arrangements.

There have been rumors that the affair was not consensual and that Lynch felt pressured to engage in a sexual relationship due Udoka’s position as head coach. However, a source close to the situation told the Daily Mail that that affair was consensual and short-lived.

The Celtics launched an investigation into the affair as soon as it was uncovered. Udoka was suspended for the 2022-2023 season. The investigation found multiple violations of team rules but the primary reason for the suspension was the power dynamic associated with an improper relationship. Lynch was not punished for the affair. There is no indication whether Udoka would be back as the head coach next year. The previous season he took the team all the way to the NBA finals.

NBA insider Michael Scotto reported he had spoken to four anonymous NBA executives who all agreed that Udoka would not be back to coach next year after the suspension is over.  Jared Weiss said that he has spoken to people in the Celtic’s organization who all said that they did not feel like Udoka would be back next year.

Nia Long, Udoka’s wife, was kept in the dark about the affair for months. Long had just moved to Boston with their son, while the Celtics were investigating the affair. Udoka knew he was being investigated and still had his wife move to the city. Long’s rep told TMZ the following, “The outpouring of love and support from family, friends and the community during this difficult time means so much to me. I ask that my privacy be respected as I process the recent events. Above all, I am a mother and will continue to focus on my children.” There is still so much uncertainty surrounding the future of not only Udoka’s employment and the status of his marriage. There are a lot of rumors but as far as we can tell, he is to be without both in the very near future.

in Celebrities/Shows by

Let’s start with Jenelle Evans. Although not part of the current cast, she is still very much part of the Teen Mom universe. According to her rep, Evans was offered a spot on the latest iteration of the show. Evans turned it down and according to her rep, it is because she has a “new dynamic series” in the works with a network that is not MTV.

Another source who is rumored to close to Evans claimed Evans is making close to $40,000 per month through her OnlyFans account. This source only really releases info about the Evans through an anonymous Twitter account.  The account, Roux, (@ustacould) wrote on Twitter that most of the people who subscribe to her account ask for feet pictures.

Sessler originally leaked the group chat messages after she expressed her frustrations about how she was portrayed during a recent episode.

MTV only aired a very specific part of the group chat where Sessler wrote, “What are you doing besides jumping from boyfriend to boyfriend living off them,” and “You must be delusion or just the crack idk.”

Kail Lowry and her latest rumored baby daddy appear to be still together. Fans thought maybe the two had split because Lowry hasn’t mentioned him on her podcast or her social media account. The Suncontradicted the rumors by saying a source told them the two were out running errands together.

Speaking of Lowry’s complicated relationships, her fractured relationship with Leah Messer still hasn’t been repaired. During a press tour of the new show, Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, Messer was asked about the current status of their friendship.  She was very uncomfortable answering the question but did say that it was ultimately up to Kailyn to fix the relationship. Messer said, “I think ultimately it’s up to her and what she decides for her future.”

Speaking of Leah, she recently just got engaged to her current boyfriend in Costa Rica. People magazine was there to capture the very moment Jaylan Mobley proposed. Mobley took Messer took a stroll on the beach when he dropped to one knee and popped the question with a 4.7 carat diamond ring.

Fans have noticed that Mobley appears to be focusing on becoming an influencer and believe he is using her fame to kick start his new career.

Gypsy Rose Married! Find Out More about the Wedding and Her Husband Here…

in People by

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, the woman who murdered her abusive mother, has tied the knot with Ryan Scott Anderson on July 21st, 2022. Blanchard, 30, is currently serving a ten-year prison sentence for the murder of her mother in 2016. Blanchard pled guilty to second-degree murder and she will be eligible for parole in 2024. Blanchard was a victim of Munchausen by Proxy. Her mother lied about Gypsy’s symptoms for years and purposely made her sick for attention and monetary gain.

The Livingston County Recorder of Deeds verified the marriage certificate but so far details of the relationship remain quiet. It is not clear on how the couple met, or how long they had been engaged before getting married. All that has been reported is that Anderson is 36 years old and is from Lake Charles, Louisiana. It is also unclear what he does for a living.

Blanchard was engaged before in April of 2019 to another man named Ken. Blanchard’s stepmother confirmed to the media that the pair had split in August of that same year. The two had met through a prison pen pal program. Before the couple split, the family had expressed some concern over the relationship and felt like the couple was moving too fast.

A family friend told InTouch after the first broken engagement Blanchard was dating multiple men and friends were concerned that Blanchard would rush into another engagement again and the men who were seeking her out were only looking for fame. Her friend told InTouch the following, “These are guys from the support groups, the Gypsy support groups,” she explains. “They attached themselves to Gypsy, and a lot of them just want fame. One of the guys was 20 years older; they’ve already broken up. Some of the guys have even gone to the prison to meet Gypsy.”

Blanchard is more than halfway through her prison sentence for the 2016 murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard. Gypsy had enlisted the help of her boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Godejohn to help plan and execute the murder of Dee Dee. Gypsy met Godejohn on a free Christian dating site in 2012. They planned the murder and Godejohn carried it out in the Blanchard family home.

After the murder, the couple ran way back to Godejohn’s home in Wisconsin where the police tracked them down and arrested them soon after the murder. Later it was discovered that Gypsy, who had used a wheelchair to get around, could walk. It was also soon discovered that Gypsy, despite presenting as chronically ill for years, was not sick. Dee Dee started presenting Gypsy as ill from almost the moment Gypsy was born. Dee Dee had doctors perform unnecessary procedures and prescribe unnecessary medications for Gypsy. Dee Dee also shaved Gypsy’s head and lied about her age to complete the ruse. Dee Dee also let Gypsy’s teeth rot and then had them removed. Gypsy wanted to be able to escape the abuse but felt like killing her mother was the only way.
