Elon Musk’s Boring Company is going to Change the Face of LA

Elon Musk's The Boring Company makes significant progress on building tunnels under LASince we are based out of LA, we are going to report on some local news that we are excited about. For anyone who has had to sit in LA traffic, it can be the must frustrating and time-consuming experience on the planet. Well, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk, is looking to change that. The enigmatic billionaire says that he is making some significant progress on his latest ambitious endeavor to create tunnels under LA that will help ease the horrible traffic in LA.

Musk got on Twitter to update everyone the status of this tunneling project. He said that he has been having “promising conversations” with the mayor of LA, Eric Garcetti. He tweeted, “Promising conversations with Mayor of LA regarding tunnel network that would carry cars, bikes, and pedestrians. Permits harder than technology.”

Last year, Musk tweeted out that “Traffic is driving me nuts. Am going to build a tunnel boring machine and just start digging…”. Of course, people didn’t quite take him seriously, until he tweeted, “It shall be called “The Boring Company”. It piqued the curiosity of Musk fans and doubters everywhere who quickly questioned whether he was being serious but Musk followed up with,  “I am actually going to do this”.

The Boring Company was then officially launched in April of this year. The goal of the company is to build as many as 30 layers of tunnels under LA that can transport cars. Musk believes that these tunnels will help to ease the traffic in LA. The Boring Company is currently working on building its own tunneling machine that will be far more powerful than any other tunnel boring machine on the market.

The company is currently being run by SpaceX engineer Steve Davis. He is working on building a tunnel that will be a demo tunnel that will be located directly under the SpaceX parking lot. In order to build the tunnel beyond the SpaceX , they would have to secure permits from the city. The Boring Company has not gotten those permits yet but will most likely obtain those soon.

Elon Musk threatens to quit Trump's advisory councilsReal life Tony Stark, Elon Musk, is passionate about the health of the planet. Not only does he have a successful electric car company but he also has been focusing on helping to build environmentally-friendly and safe energy solutions for people’s homes and for businesses. Needless to say, the man is passionate about the environment. So it comes as no surprise that Musk is threatening to quit Trump’s advisory councils if Trump pulls the United States out of the Paris Climate Agreement.

Musk has been serving on three of Trump’s advisory councils since he became President last year. Musk serves on the business advisory council, formally known as the Strategic and Policy Forum. He is also part of the president’s manufacturing jobs initiatives and has met with Trump to discuss the need to boost infrastructure spending. Musk served on the councils despite receiving immense backlash from fans and customers. However, it looks like Musk might be changing his tune now that Trump is threatening to pull the US from the Paris Climate Agreement.

Yesterday Musk said that he feels like he has done all he can to try and advise Trump to not pull out of the deal. He tweeted that, “Don’t know which way Paris will go, but I’ve done all I can to advise directly to POTUS, through others in WH & via councils, that we remain.”

Another Twitter user asked what Musk would do if Trump decided to exit the deal, he responded with, “Will have no choice but to depart councils in that case”.

Musk has been working diligently with the current White House administration to make sure that climate issues aren’t put by the wayside. The new administration seems to think that global warming is a non-issue. Musk was criticized for serving on the boards but he insisted that he needed to provide opposing views of the current administration and to provide guidance.

Trump is expected to make a decision by today whether the United States will leave the Paris deal. The U.S. signed the accord in 2015 and is committed to reducing carbon emissions by 26% to 28% within the next decade.

UPDATE: Musk has announced on his Twitter account that he has decided to quit all the councils that he was serving on for Trump. His statement via Twitter said, “Am departing presidential councils. Climate change is real. Leaving Paris is not good for America or the world.”

Amber Heard and Elon Musk confirmed relationshipAmidst all the crazy gossip news that has been circulating this weekend (Here’s looking at you Mel B.), it’s nice to report some happy celebrity relationship news. After a year of speculation, Amber Heard finally confirms her relationship with tech billionaire, Elon Musk. She posted a pretty adorable photo on her Instagram of both her and Musk out to dinner and finally confirmed what we have suspected all along.

The photo showed Amber looking at the camera with her arm resting on his shoulder. He is facing away from the camera with a smile on his face. Amber was wearing a bright red lipstick and there is a bright red lip stick mark on his cheek. The caption of her photo said, “Cheeky”. The sweet photo immediately caught the attention of publications worldwide. Heard is absolutely glowing in the photo and appears to be very happy. Musk then shared a very similar photo on his Instagram with the caption, “Having moo moo at Moo Moo Gold Coast with @AmberHeard, @CreepyPuppet and @CowanFilms.”

Musk and Heard are currently in Australia for a business visit for Musk. We reported last month that we heard that this trip was happening but didn’t get a confirmation from either Heard or Musk’s camp. Aside from the business visit, Musk and Heard took time to sightsee while visiting. The couple headed to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary to take in the sights and to even zip line through the forest.  Even some of Musk’s children were present to enjoy the wildlife sanctuary while Musk and Heard were seen holding hands and being affectionate.

Things have been looking up since her very public divorce from Johnny Depp last year. She has been cast as Aquaman’s wife Mera in the upcoming Justice League movie coming out in 2017 which is currently in post-production. There is also be an Aquaman  movie coming out in 2018 which she will reprise her role as Mera. And now she is happy in love with Musk.

We have been cheering for Musk and Heard since it was rumored that they were dating. Cheers to the new couple and best of luck!

Amber Heard is Rumored to be Heading back to Australia with Elon Musk

AMBER HEARD headed back with AustraliaAfter the disastrous last visit to Australia, Amber Heard is reportedly heading back to Australia and this time it is with rumored boyfriend, billionaire Elon Musk. Musk is planning a business trip to Australia and it is being reported that Heard will be accompanying him. Heard also will be heading back to film the upcoming blockbuster Aquaman alongside Games of Thrones star Jason Momoa.

Amber Heard has been rumored to be have been dating the tech billionaire since her divorce from Johnny Depp. Friends have reported that Heard is smitten with Musk and they have been seen out together very recently. The attended a screening of Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth Sequel: Truth to Power” together in Palo Alto earlier this week. The event was hosted by Apple’s Tim Cook, had a star-studded crowd that included actress Michelle Pfeiffer, Viacom’s Bob Bakish and many others. Th two appeared in the 2013 film Machete Kills and even though they did not have any scenes together and were not able to meet on set, Musk just knew that he had to meet Heard. He emailed director Robert Rodriguez asking if he could set up a meeting between the two. He was not interested in dating Heard at the time because she was with Depp but he was looking to get to know her as friend. They maintained a friendship for years and only recently have begun dating after both parties were divorced from their significant others.

Last time Heard was in Australia it was with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp. Depp was filming Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Heard moved there with him while the movie was being filmed. They decided to bring their dogs, Pistol and Boo, with them. Australia has very strict quarantine regulations and the dogs never went through quarantine. Her very last visit was to appear in court over the dog smuggling charges. Heard was truly apologetic and a magistrate gave Heard a one-month good behaviour bond and a $1,000 fine over the incident. Heard paid the fine and released an apology.

Musk is potentially heading to Australia to help fix South Australia’s power network. Musk stated that he can solve the state’s energy woes within 100 days or he’ll deliver the 100MW battery storage system for free. Lyndon Rive, Tesla’s vice-president for energy products, told the AFR that the company could install the 100-300 megawatt hours of battery storage that would be required to prevent the power shortages that have been causing blackouts and price spikes. Musk is currently in talks with South Australia’s politicians to see what can be worked out.

Let’s hope this trip goes more smoothly for Heard. She paid her debt and genuinely apologized for the incident. We wish this couple the best of luck in the near future and on their upcoming trip!
