Leaked Emails Prove that Johnny Depp was Aware of his Financial Woes

Emails reveal that Johnny Depp was aware of dire financial situation We have reported in the past that Johnny Depp is currently experiencing a ton of financial problems and he is currently locked in a legal battle with his ex-management company, TMG. Depp previously sued his former management team for mismanagement of his money and the firm fired back with any money issues that he might have is due to how own mismanagement. The firm has now submitted and made public numerous emails that were sent by Depp that show that Depp was aware that his spending habits were starting to get out of control.

The emails that date back as far as 2009, show that Depp’s accounts were overdrawn by at least $4 million. This was brought to the attention of TMG’s principal Joel Mandel who then emailed Depp asking him to control his spending during the holidays. Mandel writes:

“Since my email to you in September, I have done what 1 was told you wanted done, meaning, “getting us through” financially until work could start again. The good news is that, so far, we have been able to do that. Notwithstanding, I need your help in a variety of ways. First, we need to “take it easy” on holiday spending. Second, we need to discuss some dollar limit in the upcoming Dillinger auction. Third, I need to be able to sit with you on your return from this trip, and before you leave for France, so that we can talk about where we are financially, what we have borrowed in order to sustain ourselves, what we have had to do to obtain those borrowings, what is now necessary to pay those borrowings back and, finally, to look realistically at income and expenses and to work together on how to make sure that these are back in balance.”

Depp, who was married to Vanessa Paradis at the time, responded in an email that he would do what he could to help stop the excessive spending but the one thing he wouldn’t do is sell his private jet. Please note that following email has been transcribed and the spelling and grammatical errors are part of the original document. Depp writes:

“First, thank you for dealing and getting me through. secondly, i am doing my very best on holiday spending, but there is only so much i can do, as i need to give my kiddies and famille as good a Christmas as possible, obviously within reason. but, regarding the plane situation,., i don’t have all that many options at the moment. a commercial flight with paparazzis in tow would be a f***king nightmare of monumental proportions.”

The email goes on to state that Depp believes that his upcoming movies will be able to pull him out the hole. He claims that, “know that i will be starting THE TOURIST, on or about the 15th of february; which will be 20 mil. i will then go, virtually, straight into PIRATCS 4, for 35 mil and then in turn to DARK SHADOWS for another 20 mil.”

Depp’s email ends with him venting about his financial troubles and the fact that he will have to potentially sell off items to cover for the immense financial loss. “what else can i do??? you want me to sell same art??? i will. you want me to sell something else??? sure… what???”, Depp writes, “boat is going to be chartered at new years and sony will then charter it for the TOURIST shoot in venice. other than that, i got bikes, cars, property, books, paintings and some semblance of a soul left, where would you like me to start???”

Depp continued to overspend despite the warnings of his management team. In our opinion, it appears that Depp’s financial issues were brought on by none other than himself. No one forced him to pay $3 million to shoot Hunter S. Thompson’s ashes out of a canon. It appears that Depp has been reckless for a long time and is now only realizing that he is running out of money. The lawsuit is looking more and more to be a desperate financial grab for Depp. Good thing that Amber Heard got out this toxic relationship when she did, her and SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk seem pretty happy together.

New Report Claims that Johnny Depp’s Erratic Behavior Caused Chaos on the Set of New Pirates of the Caribbean Movie

Johnny depp's bad behavior caused chaos on the set of the new Pirate's movie Johnny Depp’s quirky facade has pretty much fallen away to reveal what appears to be a inconsiderate drunk. The latest report describing the chaos he caused on the set of the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie claim paint Depp to be inconsiderate and violent. His behavior caused delays in filming and caused chaos in general on the set much to the disappointment and chagrin to Disney executives and those who had been supporting Depp through these last few years.

While filming the Pirates of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales on the Gold Coast, Australia, in 2015, staff from the set reported that Depp’s ‘excessive drinking’, ‘constant lateness’ and ‘physical fights’ with then-wife Amber Heard caused mayhem on set. Multiple sources have been reporting that the actor’s agent and Pirates producer Jerry Bruckheimer fought over whose responsibility it was to make sure that Depp kept his behavior in line. These same sources claim that a staff member was allegedly tasked with watching the rented home that Depp stayed in during filming and was to alert production to his movements and when he would be coming on set.

However, Bruckheimer said Depp was under intense media scrutiny while filming and claimed that a lot of the information reported during that time about Johnny wasn’t true. One of the more disturbing stories that emerged during that time was about a fight that Depp and his then wife Amber Heard while on the phone. Heard was filming The Danish Girl and she claims that Depp cut his finger in a fit of rage when he thought that she was having an affair with Billy Bob Thornton. He then mixed his blood with blue paint and the proceeded to write on a mirror “STARRING,’ ‘Billy Bob, ‘ and ‘Easy Amber’. Bruckheimer claims that this didn’t happen and that he was pretty sure that Depp sliced his finger open because it got stuck in a car door. However, Heard had actual photos of the incident in her court papers that she filed for her domestic violence case last year.

Johnny Depp has been in a vicious downward spiral in the last few years. It is our opinion that Depp’s handlers have been helping to hide his erratic and destructive behavior for a long time. Instead of hiding this horrible behavior, it would be in Depp’s best interest to get him into some kind of rehab. Until then, we fully expect more of this kind of behavior from Depp.

Latest Lawsuit Claims that Johnny Depp is Fed Lines for his Movies Through an Earpiece

Johnny-Depp-lawsuit This ongoing lawsuit between Johnny Depp and his ex-management team is really starting to get heated. The latest accusation lobbed over the battle lines from Depp’s ex-managers is that the actor has a sound engineer on retainer that feeds him lines from his movies through his earpiece so he didn’t have to learn them. This latest claim is one of the many allegations that his ex-management team, TMG, have listed in their very damning counter suit.

The attorneys for TMG, filed papers this last Monday with the Los Angeles Superior Court in California. Aside from the claim that he has a sound engineer on yearly retainer, they also want Depp to be examined for a disorder called “compulsive spending disorder”. This disorder is defined as the urge to spend excessive amounts of money even to the point of adverse effects. The lawsuit claims, “Depp’s flagrant bragging about his senseless and extreme spending to the Wall Street Journal is further evidence of his psychological issues,’ the lawsuit continues, “It appears that Depp may suffer from a compulsive spending disorder, which will be proven in this action through a mental examination.”

The Wall Street Journal interview that the lawsuit is referring to was a telephone interview that was conducted with Johnny Depp this last April. In the interview he states that his financial issues are squarely to blame on his ex-managers. He claimed that fraud and negligence on the part of his ex-managers caused his to lose millions and millions of dollars. He also told the WSJ that “If I want to buy 15,000 cotton balls a day, it’s my thing.” and “Why didn’t they drop me as a client if I was so out of control?”

TMG says that by the time he fired them on March 2, 2016, Depp was spending upwards to $2 million a month on outrageous expenditures. This was far more than his income could maintain. The lawsuit lists numerous outrageous expenditures like spending $30,000 a month on wine, a chain of Caribbean islands, a horse farm in Kentucky, 14 residences in the South of France, an 150ft yacht, a full time staff of 40 people, round the clock personal security, gulf stream jet rental, and now a sound engineer. TMG’s counter suit also claims they lent him $5 million to repair one of his homes and avoid poor publicity, but that he still hasn’t paid them back.

TMG’s suit demands declaratory relief and breach of oral contract, breach of implied contract and breach of written contract and promissory fraud. They are countersuing for $25 million in damages. This lawsuit is not only looking for compensation but it is also appears to be doing a good job of further damaging his already imperfect reputation.

Depp Fires Back at Ex-Management Team Over Lawsuit

He has now fired back with his own allegations over the lawsuit filed by his ex-management team. He is claiming that the allegations made in the lawsuit are bogus. He says it’s just a smear campaign designed to make him look bad. He is adamant that the claims about his outrageous spending are false and designed to discredit him in court. His latest filing states that TMG (His ex-management company) has a plan to attempt to smear Mr. Depp” because otherwise they had “no viable defense.”

His latest filing doesn’t just stop there, he goes on to state that the reason why TMG is trying to get money out of him is because they have been stealing money from him for years. He alleges that TMG devised an elaborate banking scheme designed to steal millions from Depp’s movie residuals.

The saga of the lawsuits has been a confusing, tangled web. Depp was the first one to file a suit against TMG in January. He wants $25-million for fraud, accusing the company of mishandling his fortune. The company fired back with their own lawsuit stating that the reason why Depp’s fortunes are dwindling is due to his own out of control spending. Their counter-suit alleges that since they started managing Depp in 1999, He lived “an ultra-extravagant lifestyle that often knowingly cost Depp in excess of $2 million per month to maintain, which he simply could not afford.”

This latest allegation by Depp about a smear campaign seems pretty unlikely. As we wrote about earlier in the year, Depp has many luxury properties throughout the world, 45 luxury vehicles, a huge collection of fine art and even paid $3 million to blast Hunter S. Thompson’s ashes out of a canon over Aspen. So it wouldn’t be much a stretch to believe that Depp is spending more than he can make and we doubt that TMG is making up Depp’s ownership of multiple cars, multiple homes and many luxury items. Depp was just photographed at Lady Gaga’s birthday looking worse for the wear. No word yet from TMG regarding the allegations that they are spreading lies about Depp to discredit him in court.

Lawsuit Alleges that Johnny Depp Spends $2 Million a Month

Now the fact that Johnny Depp didn’t want to give Amber Heard her money from the divorce settlement, makes a lot of sense. In the ongoing lawsuit with his ex-business managers, they have now alleged that Depp spends somewhere in the ballpark of $2 million a month on his extravagant lifestyle. This allegation is in response to the fact that Depp sued his former business partners last month for $28 million for the mismanaged of his money. But they allege that he mismanages his own money.

So what exactly is Johnny spending his money on? The list seems too crazy to be true. Here is a rundown from the lawsuit of what he spends his money on:

Depp allegedly also spent over $18 million on a luxury yacht.
Maintains 45 “luxury vehicles”.
He spends about $30,000 a month on “expensive wines that he had flown to him around the world for his personal consumption.”
The craziest expenditure would be this one: “Depp also paid over $3 million to blast from a specially-made cannon the ashes of author Hunter Thompson over Aspen, Colorado.”
The lawsuit also says that,”Depp spent in excess of $75 million to acquire, improve and furnish 14 residences, including a 45-acre chateau in the South of France, a chain of islands in the Bahamas, multiple houses in Hollywood, several penthouse lofts in downtown Los Angeles, and a fully-functioning horse farm in Kentucky.”
Depp has amassed a collection of fine art kept in 12 different storage facilities.
He also spent $4 million on a failed record company.

If these allegations are true, Depp has super poor money management skills. He makes a ton but it looks like he spends a crazy amount per month. But all that wine? Spending 30k on wine a month is bonkers. I mean, how much does he need to drink a month? It is a surprise that Disney keeps the Pirates franchise going because Depp just seems like a hot mess right now. Well this lawsuit is getting interesting, so it will be interesting to see the end result.
